CMCC offers matriculated students the opportunity to earn academic credit in over 50 languages through Brigham Young University’s (BYU) Foreign Language Achievement Testing Service (FLATS).
Tests are by appointment only and must be scheduled through the Center for Testing and Assessment. Matriculated students at CMCC will be awarded humanities credits based on exam scores, valid for a period of five years from the date of exam, as follows:

Flats exams are multiple-choice and test listening, reading, and grammar comprehension skills. Students are allowed two and a half hours to complete each test. CMCC does not provide practice exams or test preparation materials.
