Maine Workforce Development Compact

Join the Compact

Employers across Maine are facing ongoing workforce challenges. We are stronger together.

The Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce coordinates short-term workforce training programs for Maine’s community colleges and works closely with business and industry leaders statewide. Since launching in 2021, the Center has served over 27,000 Mainers. A $75.5 million gift from the Harold Alfond Foundation in June 2024 will support training for an additional 70,505 Mainers by 2030, strengthening Maine’s workforce and economy through public and private partnerships.

The Maine Workforce Development Compact brings together businesses, associations, nonprofits, and municipalities committed to solving Maine’s workforce challenges. Membership is free and takes only minutes to join.
