Credential Review

Professional credentials are a great way of proving knowledge in an area or of a skill set. Central Maine Community College recognizes professional credentials for credit. Registered, current degree-seeking students may qualify to receive academic credit by presenting proof of a current and valid professional credential.

Individuals may request a credential review to receive credit for prior learning. Professional credentials must be designed to assess the student’s knowledge in a field. Credential review is subject to applicability to the student’s program of study. Bring original, current, valid credentials to the Office of the Registrar or to the associate dean of academic affairs. Official transcripts or training material may be required.

See the current list of credentials and course equivalencies for potential credit.
