As part of Detection and Measurement, Radiodetection is a global leader in the design and development of equipment and software used by utility companies to install, protect, and maintain underground infrastructure networks. Through precision and magnetic locators and ground penetrating radar, we help prevent damage to infrastructure utilities and protect lives.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
- Diagnose equipment problems at the board level and accurately enter estimates for parts and time required for repairs into the ERP system.
- Respond to inquiries, prepare estimates, and complete repair work in a timely manner to meet defined service levels, and escalate to a supervisor if timelines cannot be met.
- Accurately repair equipment down to board level and rebuild and reprogram according to the defined assembly process.
- Test and calibrate repaired equipment to ensure it meets performance standards.
- Document all customer interactions and updates to service repairs in the ERP system according to the service process.
- Maintain the individual’s repair area and general service test area, such that cleanliness and organization considerations are met on a daily basis.
- Participate in the creation and updates to service procedures for both current and legacy products.
- Proactively learn and stay up to date on product changes and updates to service procedures.
- Adhere to the service processes and provide suggestions for continuous improvement.
- Develop a well-rounded knowledge of products and applications to understand and resolve customer support and service issues quickly and professionally.
- Train other technicians, partners, and staff on service procedures as needed.
- Perform general warehouse functions such as picking, packing & shipping orders.
- Adhere to all business-related processes, including, but not limited to, safety, inventory management, and quality.

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)
Required Experience
- Technical Associates degree (or equivalent related professional experience).
- 1-5 years of proven and demonstrated electronics equipment repair experience.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Assembly and final testing of electronic components and assemblies.
- Calibrate and program electronic components.
- Troubleshoot problems with electronic components down to the board level.
- Read and understand schematic diagrams.
- Design, build, and maintain jigs.
- Write and update procedures.
Service-related responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment problems with customers.
- Organize and perform customer equipment repairs.
- Prepare estimates for repairs.
- Perform equipment repairs.
- Prepare reports.
- Identify frequently failing parts.
- Adhere to product assembly procedures and identify problems.
- Adhere to ESD guidelines/procedures.
- Assist with inventory control.
- High degree of technical analysis.
- Ability to work with various levels of people/customers/teams.
- Customer/Quality discipline.

Education & Certifications
- Technical associate’s degree (or equivalent related professional experience)
