Behavioral Health Professional

POSITION SUMMARY:

A Behavioral Health Professional of Shine Above will work 1:1 with a child with an intellectual disability, ranging in age from 0-21, in the home and in the community providing extra support on identified goals and objectives, as well as providing intervention and de-escalating services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Follow a detailed treatment plan with goals specific to each child’s needs
Primary goal is to focus on behavioral management, increasing skill development and physical development activities
Help to increase a child’s independence while working on daily living skills
Be punctual and consistent for a minimum of 10 hrs a week
Be in compliance with training and supervision with supervisor
Hand in all completed paperwork on time
Sign in/out of shift

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have clean driving record
Must undergo and pass DHHS background check as well as criminal/felony background
Willing to travel to various locations

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to handle occasional stress
Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs
May require kneeling, bending, squatting, standing and or sitting for prolonged periods while in clients home.
