The Technology Support Specialist provides essential technical assistance to students, faculty, and administrative staff across RSU#14. This role focuses on maintaining the functionality of our hardware fleet and ensuring classroom technology remains operational to support uninterrupted instruction.
We are looking for a responsive, detail-oriented technician with a strong background in Apple ecosystem management.
We are seeking a patient and communicative technical expert to support a diverse team with varying levels of digital literacy.
Key Responsibilities
-Mobile Device Management (MDM): Utilize Jamf to manage, deploy, and troubleshoot our mobile device fleet (iPads and MacBooks), ensuring all devices are up-to-date and compliant with district policies.
-Classroom Tech Troubleshooting: Provide rapid-response support for interactive displays, projectors, and audio-visual equipment to minimize instructional downtime for teachers and students.
-Hardware Support: Act as the primary point of contact for hardware-related issues across macOS, Windows, and ChromeOS devices.
-Network Support: Assist the Network Team in resolving local Wi-Fi and wired connectivity issues for staff and student devices to ensure constant access to educational resources.
-Asset Tracking: Maintain an organized and accurate inventory of all district hardware, peripherals, and repair logs.
Qualifications & Skills
MDM Expertise: Hands-on experience with Jamf Pro for managing Apple devices in an enterprise or educational environment.
Software Familiarity: General proficiency or previous experience with Infinite Campus (or a similar enterprise-level Student Information System) is preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of macOS and ChromeOS hardware; comfort troubleshooting Windows-based systems.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and connectivity issues quickly under pressure.
