Responsibilities and Duties

External Customers
1)     Insure that all contractual obligations are met

2)     Interface and coordinate project details

a)      Shop Drawings & Submittals

b)     Primary client contact

c)      Coordinate site deliveries

d)     Produce and track RFI’s

e)     Track and notify clients of changes in scope/contract

3)     Job Costing

a)      Develop and maintain Schedule of Values1

b)     Invoice all work in a timely manner

c)      Track and Notify clients of changes in scope/contract1

4)     Develop Project Schedule[1]

a)      Coordinate with Operations

b)     Update on schedule as required

5)     Produce professional communications (emails, charts, letters)

Internal Customers
1)     Operations

a)      Provide guidance in interpreting Shop Drawings

b)     Facilitate project planning

c)      Publish Shop Drawings and MIS information focused on user utility

2)     Quality Control

a)      Provide contractual requirement insight

i)       NDE requirements

ii)      Contract specific tolerances

b)     Provide functional analysis to inform fabrication tolerance

3)     Accounting

a)      Participate in WIP analyses

b)     Lead “PAR” reviews

4)     Prepare for and participate in job “Turn-Over” meetings hosted by Estimating

5)     Lead project “Kick-Off” Meetings introducing project requirements, budgets and schedule

6)     Coordinate job related subcontractors (including trucking) and Purchasing[2]

 

Requirements:

1) Construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience. 2) Knowledge of steel fabrication and/or construction management. 3) Excellent communication and organizational skills 4) Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace products.
