Maintenance

Camp Waziyatah (www.wazi.com) is seeking an experienced year-round or seasonal Maintenance 2nd to assist our Facilities Manager. Basic understanding and experience in carpentry, plumbing, roofing, etc., is required. Wazi is a traditional, non-denominational, co-ed summer camp in a beautiful setting situated on a private lake in Maine.

Job Description:

Responsibilities include:

• Maintenance and upgrades to buildings and grounds
• Project management
• Seasonal (April through October) opening and closing of a children’s summer camp (including water, septic, grounds, boats and docks)
• Off season year-round work available
• Assist with the management of the seasonal maintenance staff (2-5 depending on the season)

Skills:

Experience in one or more of the following is required:  Carpentry, Plumbing, minor Electrical, Inboard/Outboard motors troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.

Work Periods:

Camp Season Work Period: April 1 – October 31.(Dates flexible) (5 day weeks except for the 8 weeks of camp from end of June to End of August, which are six day weeks)

Potential Off-Season Work Period: November 1 – March 31. In the Off-Season, projects including repairs and improvements, snow removal and snow plowing as needed.

Job Package:

Starting at $750/week
All meals during camp season (approx. 6/15-8/22)
Background check and references required.

Experience:

Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
