Julia Noel Named Central Maine Community College Student of the Year

Auburn, ME – Julia Noel of Sabattus has been named the 2022 Student of the Year at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) for her dedication in the classroom, commitment to improving the student residential experience, and contributions as a student-athlete.

 

Julia is studying Early Childhood Education at CMCC and is preparing for a career in pre-kindergarten education. In addition to her studies, Julia is also a member of the women’s soccer team and softball team. After the fall 2021 soccer season, Julia became a valuable member of the Resident Assistant staff at CMCC. Julia also volunteers with Andro United, an indoor youth soccer program in the Lewiston-Auburn area, outside of her campus activities.

Julia and six other Maine community college students will be honored on April 27, 2022 for their academic success and campus and community involvement at a virtual awards ceremony hosted by the Maine Community College System (MCCS) Board of Trustees. Each student will receive a $1,000 John and Jana Lapoint Leadership Award to recognize their achievements.
