CMCC Offers Three Summer 2017 Condensed Microsoft Certification Courses

The Corporate and Community Services department at Central Maine Community College announces an opportunity for information technology professionals to brush up with one, two or all three Microsoft IT Academy review classes. Designed for professionals who need a short test-prep review before sitting for the certification exam, these courses are focused and intense. Each course leverages the same content found in the Microsoft Official Academic Course (MOAC) for the exam.

Microsoft Networking Fundamentals Boot Camp will meet June 5 and 8, noon to 5:00 p.m. This course preps for the Microsoft Technology Associate Exam (MTA) 98-366, and builds an understanding of network infrastructures, network hardware, and protocols and services.

Microsoft Server Administration Fundamentals Boot Camp will meet June 13 and 15, noon to 5:00 p.m. This course preps for the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Exam 98-365, and build an understanding of server installation, server roles, active directory, storage, server performance management, and server maintenance.

Microsoft Security Fundamentals Boot Camp will meet June 20 and 22, noon to 5:00 p.m. This course preps for the Microsoft Security Fundamentals (MTA 98-367) exam. Participants build an understanding of the following topics: Security Layers, Authentication, Authorization and Accounting, Security Policies, Operating System Security, Network Security, and Security Software.

Completion of these certifications can also be used towards college credit. The cost for each certification prep course is $169 and includes ten hours of expert guided instruction, all course materials, six-month access to a practice exam (valued at $80) and an exam voucher (valued at $99).
