Workshop on Annuities Coming to CMCC

The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) will offer a single evening workshop titled “Annuities – The Personal Pension Plan.” This workshop will meet Wednesday, April 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This course is the April offering of the Maine Money Academy, a monthly financial series at CMCC. This two-hour workshop focuses on helping you navigate the different types of annuities. Annuities can provide lifelong income similar to Social Security and pensions. The workshop will cover basic strategies on how to determine the right type of annuity; develop a real-life financial illustration; and generate an income report based on an assumed rate of return and future income needs.
