A Message to Students About the Spring Semester In-Person Instruction Start Date

Dear Students,

In-person instruction for lab/shop classes that utilize equipment located on-campus will resume on Monday, January 25. Instructors will communicate with students if a lab class is going to remain in a remote format past the January 25th date.

Students who are living on-campus can move in on Sunday, January 24.  Please check with the staff in Residence Life for more specific information about move in.

The same safety precautions that were in place for the Fall semester will continue.  Mandatory precautions include masking while on campus (inside and outside buildings), keeping six feet apart, and mindful handwashing/hand sanitizing.  Please review the Return to Campus Plan here to learn of the Covid safety measures at CMCC.

Be sure to download the free CMCC Mustang Mobile App for your phone.  The app is a great tool for keeping up with your schedule and assignments.  The app is also a great away to communicate with friends and classmates!  Follow the shortcuts below to begin downloading your free app today.

If you have on-campus labs, then you will use the app to complete the COVID-19 Health Screen to receive your daily “Campus Pass.”  All you have to do is show your green daily “Campus Pass” on your app at the Security Checkpoint and you will be allowed entry onto campus.  If you don’t have a smartphone to download the app you can use the desktop version of the health screen to show at the Security Check Point. Click here for the desktop health screen.

If you have been exposed to COVID-19 or otherwise have a COVID-19 related situation or question please contact the CMCC COVID-19 Response Team at covidresponse@cmcc.edu. The Response Team will work with you to learn more about your situation and provide guidance on next steps for returning to campus.

College success during the pandemic requires knowing about all of the student resources available.  Counseling is available by appointment, either on-campus or virtually.  To schedule a counseling appointment contact Student Services at studentservices@cmcc.edu or call at 207-755-5293.

Tutoring in a variety of classes is available through either the Writing Center or the Math and Science Center both located within the Learning Commons.  Click here to see the tutoring schedule and book an appointment – Tutoring Services at CMCC

Finally, Student Services will be showcasing the clubs available to students on the Mustang Mobile App.  This week, the Collection of Creative Citizens has a welcome video on the Student Feed.  Next week, Phi Theta Kappa, CMCC’s Honor Society will be featured.  Stay tuned, get involved, and join the fun!

If you have any questions about classes, schedules, campus access, Financial Aid, residential move-in day, any questions at all, please email them to studentsupport@cmcc.edu.

Stay safe, stay healthy.
