Are you a current college student looking for professional experience in your degree field? Are you looking for a part-time job with a flexible schedule that consists of afternoon, evening, and weekend hours?
Woodford’s Family Services is seeking Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) to join their growing team in Lewiston, ME! This position supports the Rehabilitative & Community Supports Program, which provides an array of evidence-based services to children and teens with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their homes and communities!
As a BHP, you will provide hands-on, one-to-one support to consumers and their families by implementing an individualized treatment plan that fosters and promotes skills related to behavior management/regulation, communication, independent living, self-care, and community integration.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and effectively modify interfering behaviors across multiple settings and environments (home, school, stores, park, etc.)
- Complete and accurately document progress summaries of goals and objectives, as well as other required paperwork assigned by Field Supervisor.
- Travel and transport consumers to community activities as appropriate.
Previous experience encouraged, but NOT required!

Schedule & Compensation
- BHP needed in Lewiston to support a male, age 2. BHP is required to be available 12 hours weekly on Mondays from 9am to 1pm, Fridays from 3 to 7pm and Saturdays from 11am to 3pm
BHP services also needed in Lewiston for a 14 year old male for 10 -12 hours/week. Hours are after school and in the evenings. - Pay is between $14.00 and $16.00 hourly, and employees receive a wage increase once they’re certified as a Behavioral Health Professional.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid State of Maine driver’s license and personal vehicle with current proof of auto insurance.
- Must complete training and obtain certification as Behavioral Health Professional within 1 year of hire.
