JOB TITLE: Pantry Cook – PART TIME

DEPARTMENT: BOH

SUPERVISOR: Kitchen Manager/Assistant Kitchen Manager

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for cold food items prepared. Portions and prepares cold food items such as salads, cold appetizers, desserts, cold banquet platters. Responsible for preparing and portioning a variety of food items for the hot line. Prepares sauces, dressings, sides and portions meats/seafood as required. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary workstation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Prepares and portions food items, labels and stores properly.

·       Prepares cold food items, plates and garnishes properly.

·       Required to stay on task and be proactive about preparing food for hot line once regular service is slow.

·       Responsible for preparing and stocking pantry with all items to complete all cold food items, direct prep cooks to prepare items if running low.

·       Maintains all food safety and health code regulations.

·       Completes additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS: Food and beverage knowledge, cooking experience in similar style restaurant and experience working assigned work stations, positive attitude, able to work in a fast paced environment, good communication skills.
