Full-time (37.5 hrs.) position – Flexible schedule; includes weekend work and rotating holidays.

The Barron Center is owned and operated by the City of Portland and is Maine’s largest skilled nursing facility.  Now is your chance to work where kindness matters and to be a part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of our Residents. Must have knowledge of large scale cooking practices.  Graduate of culinary arts program or experience preferred.  Supervisory experience preferred. Must pass a pre-employment physical exam and possess valid Maine Class C driver’s license.   Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check.  CEBA – Grade 6M starting range  $687.37- 715.50 per week.  In addition to the standard rate of pay listed, the Barron Center is distributing an additional $5.00 for each hour worked until at least June 2022 for all employees.  The Barron Center has received CARES ACT funding, through the State of Maine, which is intended to go back into the workforce to help with retaining and recruiting employees. A sign-on bonus of $1500 is also being offered.

Pay Rate: $35,743-$37,206/ year plus sign-on Bonus
