AutoCAD Electrical Designer/Drafter

Progress Engineering is a very small electrical engineering firm, which specializes in designing and implementing innovative process automation and control solutions for manufacturing facilities.  Operating from our Manchester, Maine, office, we provide electrical engineering services throughout the United States in a broad spectrum of industrial settings.  Progress Engineering has extensive experience in the forest products industry, including sawmill and planer mill control and optimization systems; whole-plant wood pellet manufacturing design; log optimization slashing systems; and cedar log manufacturing.  The company provides electrical engineering services in many industrial sectors, including water and wastewater treatment plants; naval ship steel preparation and cutting; bakery/food preparation; consumer goods manufacturing; aggregates and construction materials batch plants; and biomass and hydroelectric power production.

Progress Engineering is currently seeking an AutoCAD Electrical Drafter/Designer to join our growing team. We are looking for candidates with a proven record of or sincere interest in learning to execute industrial automation design work.

Responsibilities:

· In-office and field design services, including layout and detail components of industrial automation and electrical systems, while considering customer needs and budgetary requirements;

· Developing detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD;

· Interpreting, modifying and revising electrical designs and drawings to meet client specifications;

· Submitting completed designs and drawings for review and approval;

· Communicating with clients in design and construction scenarios;

· Communicating and collaborating with technical and professional personnel.
