Summary:
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of environmental service procedures as assigned.

Responsibilities:
• Perform basic cleaning maintenance procedure on carpeted and hard surface flooring.
• Perform various cleaning assignments such as washing walls, ceilings, vents, lights, windows, etc.
• Demonstrates and encourages the proper use of cleaning chemicals in a variety of housekeeping functions.
• Demonstrates ability to perform bonnet and extraction cleaning methods on carpeted flooring.
• Demonstrates ability to perform all aspects of hard surface floor care such as shower scrubbing, stripping, refinishing and burnishing.
• Functions as housekeeper when necessary.
• Demonstrates ability to manage multiple tasks and able to perform in multiple scheduled areas.
• Practice proper utilization and maintenance of all equipment for the job.
• Performs job with minimum waste of supplies and materials, suggests and encourages peers on cost containment.
• Uses time efficiently and effectively.
• Maintains a safe environment which includes knowing and understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Report and directly address identified environmental hazards when appropriate.
• Report and directly address violations of patient safety policy and/or protocol when involved or observed.
