We offer temporary, part-time, and per diem opportunities across our 6 health care centers located in Southern Maine and in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Martin’s Point provides primary care for the whole family, as well as specialty care (sports medicine and cardiology) and services like lab, pharmacy, and radiology. Job Description

Key Outcomes:
Medical Assistants work collaboratively with all members of the care team providing world class service to both the patients and staff at Martin’s Point.

As a MPHC Medical Assistant, you will:

Work to actively enhance patient relationships and loyalty
Pre-plan for patient visits
Manage visit cycle time, office workflows, and patient access (phone, scheduling)
Assist assigned provider and care team with rooming and patient care procedures, including electronic documentation
Coordinate patient activities that support managing the targeted population’s health
Ensure all consults and charts are scanned, downloaded and communicated in preparation for patient contact
Perform direct patient care services in accordance with clinical protocols in a patient-centered manner
Participate in daily huddles and regular team meetings to improve workflows and contribute to improving patient population outcomes
Ensure exam rooms are prepared for patient visits, including equipment operability, supply inventory, and cleanliness utilizing standard stocking procedures

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, Associate Degree preferred.

Certifications:

Current MA certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT or attainment within 6 months of hire and retain active certification for duration of employment.  Completion of a two year accredited Medical Assistant Program/Associate Degree is preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
