Retail Associate

Be a part of Maine’s premier science museum – a fascinating “out-of-this-world” cultural destination located in Bethel, Maine. The Retail Associate reports to the Museum Store Manager and is responsible for providing excellent customer service in person and on the phone.

As a Retail Associate, you will:

– Provide exceptional guest service as you assist in day-to-day museum store operations

– Greet all customers that enter the Museum and offer assistance

– Answer visitor and customer questions

– Provide customers with detailed product information and recommendations

– Operate cash registers, manage financial transactions and balance cash drawers

– Open and close the museum store when scheduled

– Maintain a clean and organized sales retail environment

– Engage with guests and create an entertaining, fun, exciting, and memorable experience

Skills/abilities:

– Are welcoming, positive, engaging, and friendly

– Enjoy interacting with people of all ages

Qualifications:

– Able to work a flexible schedule, weekends and evenings (20-25 hours per week)

– Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service skills

– Strong verbal, organization, and written communication skills

– Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
