Conservation Summer Internship

Are you interested in spending a summer learning about land conservation and practical skills involved in caring for land in Maine?

THIS ENTRY LEVEL RESIDENTIAL SUMMER INTERNSHIP IS FOR YOU! UP TO 11 POSITIONS AVAILABLE

This program will place up to 11 Maine student interns with up to 11 different Maine land trusts and conservation organizations (one intern with each land trust). This is an entry level position, no experience required. Internship Duties may include but are not limited to trail work, working with volunteers, conservation easement monitoring, and other stewardship related projects.

Wage: $14 per hour – free housing provided if needed

Requirements:

-Student in Maine (or student with some –Maine connection) – undergraduate, certificate program, or trade school applications accepted
-Available June 2 to August 10
-Must be self-motivated, willing and able to work independently or as part of a team, willing to learn new skills
-Must have reliable transportation
