KidQuarters Child Care Center Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher and Teaching Assistant to join our team.  You will play a vital role in supporting other teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students. Your passion for childhood development and education will contribute to the growth and success of our students. Our team is passionate about fostering a love for learning while promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development in a safe and supportive setting. KidQuarters is a NAEYC accredited child care center, established in 1996.


– Lead teacher works with assistant teacher to plan lesson plans, educational activities and collection of child milestone portfolio collections
– Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
– Provide one-on-one support to students who may require additional assistance
– Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment
– Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
– Help prepare materials and resources for lessons
– Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods
– Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians

– Experience working with students in a childcare, preschool, or educational setting helpful.
– Ability to follow state, center, and NAEYC policies and procedures.                                           – Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
– First aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required.
– Pass DHHS background check and any other state-mandated requirements for childcare professionals.

We are flexible working around class schedules, 1 Full time and 2 Part time positions available.
