Caregiver

Compass provides sophisticated, comprehensive and outstanding companion and personal care services to our (mostly) elder clientele throughout Southern Maine. Founded by local senior care expert Paula Banks, Compass’s priority is compassionate home-based care based on the unique needs of our valued clients.

Our services include (but are not limited to):  conversations, social interaction, assisting to activities and appointments, meal planning, laundry, mobility assistance, personal care assistance (dressing, bathing, hygiene), medication reminders, errand running and more.

Our philosophy is strong:  Our caregivers must be reliable, confident, competent, client-focused and nurturing with a true focus on dignity, discretion and respect.  We pride ourselves on a team of caregivers that are compassionate, good listeners and capable with a passion for high quality care.

We offer a high rate of pay ($21.00 per hour during the week and $23.00/hour on weekends), job training, monthly staff meetings with education, flexibility in schedule around your courses and an extremely supportive management team that will support, train and guide you with each and every client.

Applicants must have reliable transportation, a commitment to high quality care, willing to work some weekends, complete a criminal background check and be ready to make a difference in the life of our senior clients that mean so much to us.
