The Teacher is part of a teaching team, under the direction of a Lead Teacher, that plans experiences to meet young children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development and engages with families in meeting both their children’s and family’s needs. Other responsibilities include monitoring children’s progress, completing paperwork and reports, and maintaining records and data on individual children. This position is 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

Requirements:

Requirements: Must have experience in an early childhood setting; excellent verbal and written communication skills; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry and perform other high-energy activities; a valid driver's license; telephone; computer/word-processing skills, preferably Microsoft Office; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team. Must obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. A pre-employment physical, Covid vaccination or employer-verified exemption, SBI, DMV, DHHS, Maine Sex Offender Registry, fingerprinting, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire as a condition of employment.

Qualifications:

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED is required, with a commitment to complete an agency-paid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential program, enroll in approved college courses, or enroll in a program that will lead to an Associate's degree within two years of hire. CDA or Associate's degree in place is preferred.
