Our Children’s Services Head Start program has an anticipated opening available at Chisholm Early Learning Center for a Center Aide for August 2023.  The Center Aide helps create a healthy, safe and fun learning environment for preschoolers and works as part of a teaching team providing support to meet children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development needs. This position may be responsible for maintaining records, observations and data on individual children.  Other duties include sharing the responsibility for the proper care and cleanliness of the center.  The position is 30 hours per week.

Requirements:

To Qualify: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; experience working with young children required. Completion of Head Start Substitute Teacher Training or be enrolled in or have completed an Early Childhood course of study is preferred. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must have basic computer skills and knowledge; considerable stamina is needed to bend, lift, carry, etc. Pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, DHHS, sex offender registry, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment. Must have a valid driver’s license and liability insurance.
