We are seeking an energetic, flexible Family Service Advocate/Center Aide for our Pre-K Classroom at our New Suncook Early Learning Center in Lovell. A Family Service Advocate/Center Aide provides support while engaging with families and is part of a teaching team. This position is 40 hours per week, and generally follows the school-year calendar.

Essential Duties:
Engage with families to collaboratively build partnerships to identify strengths and needs
Maintain records, including medical and immunizations for enrolled children
Encourage and support family’s engagement in their child’s development
Collaborate with teaching team and contribute to high-quality preschool programming
Aide in planning activities and tailoring curriculum to meet children’s social, emotional, physical, literacy, and cognitive development
Sharing the responsibility for proper care and cleanliness of the classroom and center

Qualifications:
Minimum H.S. diploma or GED, with commitment to complete credential in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field within 18 months of hire
Ability to obtain a State of Maine Ed Tech Certification upon hire
Other Requirements: Experience in an early childhood setting; ability to function autonomously and as part of a team; excellent communication skills; considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry, and perform other high-energy activities; competency with Microsoft Office; ability to obtain and maintain current Ed Tech Certification and CPR and First Aid certifications. Pre-employment physical, SBI, DMV, Maine Sex Offender Registry, DHHS fingerprinting, fraud, and federal debarment background checks must be completed upon offer of hire and as a condition of employment; valid driver’s license and travel within the service area is required.
