Parks, Recreation and Facilities – Public Buildings Division
We currently have three (3) openings for Trades Worker III. This position will work in conjunction with other trades professionals to perform duties such as floor plan layout for commercial space, drywall hanging/patch/repair, painting, rough carpentry including general construction and maintenance of City-owned buildings, piers and floats. This position will require heavy lifting and carrying of supplies needed for projects. The applicant must possess a willingness to assist and learn different operations of the Public Buildings Division and a dedication to getting the job done in an effective and efficient manner.
Necessary Special Requirements: Successful candidate must possess a valid Class B driver’s license in good standing or have the ability to obtain a Class B license within 6 months; must undergo pre-employment fitness assessment, pass a federally mandated drug test; must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) certification. Offers of employment are contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory criminal background check. This position requires mandatory participation in winter operations.
Labor & Trades Union position – Grade 20M-TW – Pay range starting at $23.74/hour ($949.60/week).
