GENERAL INFORMATION:

Barg. Unit:       Non-Union

Status:              Part-Time, Temporary position (ends Sept. 2023)

Schedule:         Averages 15-19 hours/week (based on demand)

REQUIREMENTS: Experience working with youth required and must enjoy working with people. Knowledge of basic recreation activities (arts, sports, games) is a must. Schedule requires availability to work afternoons and on weekends, as programs require. Basic knowledge of computers, especially Word and Excel, is preferred.

WORK ACTIVITIES: This is a hands-on position, working directly with youth recreation programming. Develops activities and youth programs for ages 10-16. Activities will include gym games, science, art, field trips, and outdoor programs. Will assist with promotion the program, recruit mentors/mentees, and track participant paperwork. Helps organize, set up and break down all types of activities. This is a physically active position which will require interaction with community members of all ages. Performs additional duties as requested or required.
