Status:            Temporary, Contract, Flexible Hours

Pay:                Depending on Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates degree in engineering, architecture, or related field and at least six (6) years responsible experience in building construction, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid driver’s license.

WORK ACTIVITIES: Inspects workmanship, quality and safety of building constructions sites. Plan, bid and coordinate building projects from start to finish. Focus on all aspects of project management, including representing the City as the Owner’s Representative/Clerk of the Works. Works with the building project design team and related contractors to ensure all contract terms are met within time and budget constraints. Prepare Request for Qualification (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents. Prepare and submit detailed project reports and construction master schedules to include status updates of on-going projects. Maintain files of correspondence, job conference reports, contract documents, invoices and contractor/sub-contractor contact information. Provide support to engineering staff as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
