Healthy Androscoggin is seeking applicants for the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Health Promotion Coordinator position. This position will coordinate Healthy Androscoggin’s childhood lead poisoning prevention programming, including education and outreach. This position is supported by numerous grant sources and will work in partnership with local city offices. The Coordinator will report directly to the Health Promotion Manager. This position will be required to keep detailed records for reporting and evaluation. The candidate will work independently, be well-organized, and possess a strong attention to detail. Travel is required throughout the Lewiston/Auburn. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, objectively analyze programs, and problem solve. The following skills are also needed: excellent written and verbal communication, strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, group-facilitation, and ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to speak multiple languages preferred, but not required.

Position dependent on continuous funding. Candidate must meet all state mandated immunization requirements for healthcare facilities.

This is a part time, grant funded position.

Position Requirements:
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in public health, health education, nutrition, or related field preferred, OR a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience required in: community organizing, obesity prevention, prevention planning, public health, health promotion, nutrition, health education, or similar fields.
Ability to implement program deliverables in accordance with funding requirements.
Develop new and strengthen existing partnerships with community-based agencies.
Work with community partners to develop and/or implement selected policy, systems and environmental change strategies that supplement the direct lead education efforts.
Attend required trainings and meetings, both in-person and online, in accordance with grant funding.
Complete reporting and evaluation processes as set by specific funders.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Health Promotion Manager and the Executive Director of Healthy Androscoggin.

Other Skills:
• Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong written and verbal skills.
• Multiple languages spoken preferred but not required.
• Proficient computer knowledge in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Pay Rate: $21 per hour
