Who we are

Camp Cody is a co-ed Summer Camp in Freedom, New Hampshire. Since 1926, we have been providing unique experiences for campers and staff of all ages worldwide. Our Cody team is made up of teachers, athletes, coaches, creatives, hikers, bikers, travelers, and so much more. Together, we provide a safe and fun environment where campers and staff create life-long memories.

What you’ll be doing

The General Art Counselor is someone who guides and ensures the safety of campers as they engage in a variety of art activities. As the General Art Counselor, utilizing your areas of expertise, you will assist in activity planning and implementation for up to 6 activity periods per day across a wide range of our art activity areas; pottery, glasswork, metalsmith, jewelry making, painting, and more. In this role, you will bring fun, engaging programming to life for our campers and facilitate memories that will last a lifetime.

What we need from you

Develop and deliver engaging art programming appropriate for the age and ability for each session.
Supervise and support campers to ensure safety, development, growth, and general well-being.
Assist in the management and care of the facilities and equipment in the art program area.
Communicate and collaborate with other camp staff members to facilitate positive camper experiences.

What skills & experience you’ll bring to us

Proven experience in working with children and in the creative arts.
Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced camp environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Physical ability to lead activities for 6 to 8 hours per day.
Displays an energetic and positive personality.
