Bonney Staffing has partnered with a electrical business that has 70 years experience in the industry. Our client manufactures OEM parts, commutator resurfacing and snow making machine parts.

The Breaker Room Technician in Auburn, Maine, is responsible for the cleaning, installation, maintenance, and repair of transformers and other electrical products in the breaker room. You will assist in the installation of new transformers and electrical products in the breaker room, while you follow detailed schematics, diagrams, and instructions to ensure accurate and safe installation. This role ensures the reliable operation and upkeep of electrical systems and components, adhering to safety standards and company policies. May involve occasional travel to other company locations or customer sites. When travel is needed and may not be home that night, a hotel is paid for and a $75 meal allowance given.  This is a full time, day shift, direct hire position.

Breaker Room Qualifications: 

  • Technical training or certification in electrical maintenance preferred.
  • Previous experience in electrical maintenance, particularly with transformers, is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform routine cleaning and maintenance of transformers and other electrical components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Ability to use appropriate tools and cleaning agents to maintain electrical equipment and ensure it is free from contaminants and debris.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.  Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and have a clean driving record.

Breaker Room Details: 

  • Work hours are split for Summer and Winter Hours
    4/1-9/3-6a-230p M-F
    9/3-4/1 7a-330p M-F
  • Pay Rate: $25 (Any time worked past 8 hours a day is overtime)
  • Start Date: ASAP
