Social Work Intern

Seeking interns in social work or counseling for an opportunity to work with an advanced licensed mental health professional to provide youth counseling. Interns will work cooperatively to provide mental health related services to youth in our summer camp program. Seeking interns who are energetic and committed individuals. Housing and all meals are provided for interns working on our lakefront campus in Poland, Maine from July – August. Work schedule is flexible however candidates must be able to commit to two to six weeks.

The internship will provide interns with an opportunity to develop the following skills:
Opportunity to provide individual counseling to children and adolescents
Work with a diverse, multicultural population
Working with immigrant and/or low-income families
Case management and social service delivery
Data collection and needs assessments
Opportunity to work with licensed mental health professionals
Conduct client assessments
Maintain ongoing contact with youth
