Presidents Award

The Presidents Award is the most prestigious one bestowed at the CMCC Annual Dinner. The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual or organization that has been an outstanding supporter and advocate for the College and for education. Mechanics Savings Bank has donated more than $42,000 to CMCC’s scholarship and building funds. A leading supporter of higher education in the Lewiston-Au burn area, Mechanics has also made generous scholarship contributions to the University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston-Auburn College and other programs.

Mechanics has also been represented on the CMCC Foundation Board of Directors for many years. President Rick Vail currently serves on the Foundation Board of Directors (as does Dick Roy, executive vice-president with Mechanics Private Bank).
In 2008 Mechanics gave over $100,000 in contributions to various non-profit groups and in the past 5 years has given over $600,000.

Founded in 1875, Mechanics Savings Bank currently serves customers from three branch offices located in Auburn, Lewiston, and Windham. In addition to providing outstanding banking services to Central Maine residents, Mechanics has also given generously to the communities it serves.
