Library Instruction
Please schedule a Library Instruction class
with one of the Librarians, (Judy Frost or Judi Moreno). We tailor sessions around your classes'
specific needs, while also trying to introduce all students to specific
core resources. Students learn these skills best at the time of
need and with hands on instruction, so when possible instruction should
be scheduled at the time students are engaged in the research process,
and in a computer lab where they can do some searching. Please
also encourage your students to schedule one-on-one appointments with
us.
Your Library Card
Your library card is your CMCC ID.
Fill out the library ID card form, have it signed by your Department
Chair, and bring it to Student Services, who will print your CMCC ID.
Bring your ID to the library, where we will activate your card. You can
also renew your material and manage your library account online:

patron record
Borrowing Material
Your active library card allows you to check
out material at CMCC, Auburn Public Library, and Lewiston Public
Library. Our loan policies are listed on our website:
Circulation Services and Procedures.
Material can also be requested through Minerva or MaineCat, and
shipped to CMCC.
Interlibrary Loan
Valerie Frechette handles interlibrary loans.
She can order any material for you that can not be requested through
online catalogs, or downloaded from a database.
Reserves
We can place material on reserve in the
library. This material is then loaned for a shorter period of
time, (4 hours, overnight, 3 days, or 1 week). All material is
taken off reserve at the end of each semester. See Judi Moreno for help
with this.
