About the Library
The Central Maine Community College Library offers a wide variety of services for students, faculty and staff. Located on the main floor of Jalbert Hall, the Library houses over 14,000 volumes and 130 +/- periodicals in print. The Library also subscribes to several databases and offers access to a collection of electronic books.
The Library has a variety of seating for studying, ranging from tables where groups can study, lounge chairs, couches and carrels.
The Library has 22 computers and a laser printer for student use. All of these computers have Internet access. They also have MS 2007 Office software, Visual Basics, and other software programs needed to support classroom activities. The Library is a wireless hotspot, however there is no wireless printing capability.
The Library has a photocopier available. The cost of one copy is ten cents. The coin machine accepts dimes, quarters, and dollar bills.
The Library conference room is available for student use as a quiet study area or for group meetings. Reservations are required and can be made by visiting the front desk or calling (207) 755-5218.
