Women in Technology
Women in Technology (WIT) is an active student organization at Central Maine Community College. Members are women who have chosen technical programs that lead to high skill, high wage employment, but are generally dominated by male students.
 
WIT provides support and information to members and others interested in finding out more about non-traditional occupations. Activities include:
  • Free monthly luncheon meetings
  • A mentoring network connecting students and program graduates
  • Guest speakers who are working in non-traditional fields
  • Information related to school/job success
  • Monthly newsletters
  • Individual meetings with club advisor and career counselor
  • Related events including club banquet
