CMCC offers 4 residence halls to provide on-campus accommodations for approximately 250 students. Our student population is approximately 50% male and 50% female.
The following is a description of the residence hall complex at CM. We encourage all incoming students and their families to tour the campus and check out each housing option. Rancourt Hall
Rancourt Hall, which opened in the fall of 2007, has all the newest amenities and comforts of living at home. This co-ed building is designed for optimum privacy and intended to create an environment conducive for academic learning. Each room is designed for two students and has two beds, two closets, two desks, two bureaus, cable, high speed internet connections, and an individual bathroom/shower unit accessible from the room. An adjoining double room also has accessibility to the bathroom/shower as well. The building has its own coin laundry facilities, vending machines, and small lounge area with a TV. The fourth floor has a function room available for building gatherings, activities and events. A full time Resident Director resides on the first floor of this building and supervises and monitors the security of the facility.
Fortin Hall:
Built in 1968, Fortin Hall is a traditional style residence hall housing 60 students. The first floor of the building houses a full time resident director, lounge, vending machines, and game room. A coin operated laundry is available in the basement of the building. Living space is available on the second, third and fourth floors with 20 students per floor. One floor is designed for females, and two floors for males. Each room is a double room with accompanying twin beds, two bureaus, two desks, two closets, and cable, high speed internet connection. A general bathroom is available per floor with 3 toilets, 3 sinks, and 3 showers per bathroom. The Apartments: CM has two apartment complexes (built in 1975) with 10- four person apartments available for 40 students. Each apartment has four individual rooms, a common living room and bathroom/shower unit. Four people share this living space. Each room has a twin bed, bureau, closet, and desk. There is one cable connection in the common room and each bedroom has high speed internet accessibility. These rooms are usually sold in group of four and are co-ed. Rooms are assigned to full-time CM students, with preference given to first-year students, and selected second-year students on a space-available basis. Approximately two-thirds of our residents are first-year students. A set meal plan is in place for each student residing on campus. A Residence Hall Council, consisting of Resident Assistants and interested resident students, plans activities throughout the year. A Director of Housing and two Resident Directors live on campus and are available to assist residents. Residents are encouraged to join a wide variety of clubs, sports and activities including:
