How many residence halls are there and what are they like?
Where will I eat? Is there linen service? Can I bring a refrigerator? Is there a nightly curfew? Is it quiet enough to study? Can I have a car on campus? Where do I get my mail? Do the residence halls close during vacation? What other amenities can I bring? Can I have a phone in my room? Is there cable TV in my room? Is there Internet access? What should I bring with me? Who works in the residence halls? What are the costs? What is the application process? CM has 4 residence halls; Rancourt, Fortin Hall,
and 2 apartment-style buildings. All rooms in Fortin Hall are either double or triple occupancy, the apartments offer singles and doubles and
Rancourt offers two to a room with a bathroom. Roommates are assigned before residents arrive by either personal preference that you have requested, or through other means such as similar majors or same home towns.

students deserve a place that is conducive to success. We always accommodate the person making a concerted effort
to succeed at college. CM reserves the right to implement new quiet hours at any time.

Resident Assistant:
The Resident Assistant, (a.k.a. RA), is a full-time student. RAs have typically lived in the residence halls for at least a year and have been through some of the things that new students will go through. The RAs have been carefully selected and trained in such areas as peer counseling, activity programming, substance abuse, and other areas necessary for the job. RAs are not cops, parents, therapists or social directors. RAs are in a position to help enforce the rules and most importantly help the students adjust and get along during the year. These people enjoy working with others and have taken this role in order to help people. Rules are necessary and RAs must enforce them in order to keep their job and continue to pay for their education. When you arrive, please give the RAs the respect they deserve. They work hard to help you. Please work hard to help them. Resident Directors: Director Of Housing:
The cost of housing covers your room, 17 meals a week, Cable TV, E-2 Internet access, and free admission to all CM sporting events.
First-Year Students:
Upon your acceptance to CM, you should fill out and return the Residence Hall Application as soon as possible. Completing this application does not assure you a room on campus; however, the date in which the deposit was paid does determine your place in line for a room the earlier the better. Residence Hall Applications will be acted upon 60 days prior to the start of school. You will be notified of your status before July 1st. Second-Year Students: |
