Campus
Crusade for Christ
The CM Chapter of Campus Crusade for Christ will have its spring semester weekly meetings at 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. From 4:00-4:30 we will meet in the cafeteria so that anyone who wants to can get a bite to eat.
Then we will move to Jalbert Hall Room 410 for 4:30-6:00.
Campus Crusade for Christ
exists to provide regular opportunities to study and discuss the Bible,
worship, and pray, all in a group setting, which also provides opportunities
for fellowship, encouragement and spiritual development among members.
We seek to be a resource to the student body by offering opportunities
to discuss spiritual matters and provide materials in the form of
video's, books, articles and outside speakers, all for the benefit
and consideration of members of the CM community.
Our membership rules are simple. Campus Crusade for Christ has an
open-door policy. All students, staff and faculty of Central Maine
Community College, as well as any interested persons outside Central
Maine Community College, are welcome to attend the Bible studies and
meetings. There are no "members" in the sense of meeting requirements
or being accepted into membership. Campus Crusade for Christ was formed
by Christians who agree in their belief that man's only access to
God is through Jesus Christ and faith in His deity, His death as full
payment for man's sins, and His resurrection. While this is the foundation
for the Bible study, those holding other beliefs are welcome to attend.
You will have the opportunity to participate in intramural sports such
as volleyball, softball, basketball, and a variety of gym games. Full
time students have the opportunity to try out for intercollegiate sports.
Central Maine Community College offers baseball and women's softball in the fall and
men's and women's basketball in the winter.
The men's basketball team plays in the Maine Small College
Conference. The baseball and women's basketball teams
play in the Northern New England Small College conference. All of the
teams participate in the USCAA. Any other intercollegiate sports or
club sports are formed on a student interest basis. Open gym is available
to all students when no events are scheduled. Students must meet athletic
and academic eligibility requirements to participate in intercollegiate
athletics.

The Kirk Hall gymnasium has posted hours for recreational activities.
A weight room is also available and is equipped with various weight-lifting
apparatus including a universal weight station. A work-study student
may be available to assist students; however, all use of the weight-lifting
apparatus requires a buddy system for safety purposes. All students
have free use of the Auburn YMCA during the fall and spring semesters.
