Central Maine Community College is a student-centered college with a wide variety of academic majors ranging
from two-year associate degrees to one-year certificates and four-year transfer options. Classes are available
days, evenings and Saturdays to serve a wide range of student schedules.
Location
Located in Auburn, Maine just two miles from the center of the city, Central Maine Community College occupies
a picturesque 135-acre site overlooking and bordering Lake Auburn. As Maine's second largest urban center,
Auburn-Lewiston offers many opportunities for social, recreational, cultural and educational activities.
Auburn is located in the south central region of Maine and is the gateway to the Western Mountains. It is
midway on the Maine Turnpike between Maine's capital, Augusta and its largest city, Portland - approximately 35
miles from each city.
Facilities
In addition to classrooms, lecture halls, library, gymnasium, dining facilities, laboratories, bookstore and
administrative offices in Jalbert and Kirk Halls, the Lapoint Center and the Culinary Arts Center, CM offers
four residence halls on campus that provide housing for 248 students. Resident students have access to a
recreation area, snack machines and laundry equipment. Each room is cable ready and wired for both phone and
Internet.
Non-residents have access to several lounges, dining facilities and snack machines and recreational areas. The campus also has an athletic field for baseball, softball and soccer games. From Maine Turnpike Exit 75 (formerly Exit
12), Auburn:
From the exit turn left on to Route 4 following signs toward Auburn (and directional signs for Central Maine Community College). Go north for about 6 miles which takes you to Center Street. Continue on Center Street through town, past fast food restaurants, etc. Go under the overpass and just before the Auburn Mall, turn left at the signal on to Mt. Auburn Avenue. At the next traffic light bear right on to Turner Street and Central Maine Community College is 1.3 miles on your left. From Maine Turnpike Exit 80 (formerly Exit
13), Lewiston: Guest parking
Parking Visitors to the college should park in the visitors parking lot located next to the main entrance in Jalbert Hall. Handicapped parking is available. Physical accessibility
Elevators are located in Jalbert and Kirk Halls and Lapoint Center. Physically accessible restrooms are located throughout the campus. Physically accessible parking is available in all parking areas.
