Rod Millet, Head Coach

Coach Millett took over the coaching reins for the lady softballers in 2005.  He is no stranger to CM as he has assisted the women’s basketball program for the past four years. Millett, a former star baseball player at Oxford Hills high school, and former captain of the UMaine, Bangor baseball team, has been a softball coach for almost thirty years.

Coach Millett played softball competitively for 18 years, before turning into a coach. He led his high school girls’ Oxford league team to a regular season title in 1992 and has coached multiple senior league teams throughout his softball career. Coach Millett has used his vast array of baseball experience to help make the transition into a successful softball coach.

He is a living legend in the Oxford Hills area having coached several championship teams, including Oxford Hills’ first ever ten-year-old Bambino team and first ever 11-year-old Bambino team to a state championship. He also coached his 13-year-old Bambino team to a Babe Ruth championship. Between 1991 and 1993, Millett led his Little League team to an astonishing 55-8 overall record. Among the most impressive achievements of his coaching career, is winning two Gold Balls. Coach Millett is married to his lovely wife Kathy and has two children, Jed and Janaya.
Scott Lovejoy, Assistant Coach

A native of Auburn, Maine, Coach Lovejoy is in his second year as an assistant coach for the Lady Mustangs softball team. Prior to his arrival at CM, Lovejoy coached at Poland High School from 2000-2005 as an assistant coach. In 2006 he took over the helm as head coach, and led an astonishing Knight team to an undefeated season.

Coach Lovejoy has had plenty of experience as a softball coach between five seasons coaching his Poland Recreation Department Little league softball team from 1996-2000, and leading his Oxford Hills senior league softball team to a championship in 2004. Lovejoy’s commitment to coaching is displayed by the numerous amounts of coaching and pitching clinics that he has attended all across New England, and by his loyal dedication to the program and its players.

Dunn, Assistant Coach

Coach Dunn is in his second season as assistant coach for the CM softball team. Dunn has been mentoring young softballers for over eleven years. Along with his work with CM, he is currently the assistant softball coach at Buckfield High School and has been so since 2003. Throughout his tenure at Buckfield, his team won three Western Maine Championships and two Maine State Championships.

Coach Dunn also played a substantial role in the American Fastpitch Association, a national softball league, where he led his U14 and U18 softball teams to league titles. Throughout his career, Dunn has worked with an impressive array of coaches who have helped mold him into the enthusiastic, dedicated, and player-oriented coach he is today.
