Head Coach
Scott Lovejoy

CM Softball is all about the players, and the love of the game between teammates. The players are representatives of the school and the community. It is important that the players represent themselves in a manner that gives them an accomplishment of pride. CM Softball plays with pride, dignity and Respect on and off the field.

It is my belief that a coach is a teacher, a communicator. A coach should have a well-organized program in place to provide each player the opportunity to better herself as an individual. To be part of a team that can accomplish a goal. Always have a positive attitude and play with good sportsmanship. Make it fun! Play Ball!

It is my goal as a coach to build a winning tradition at CM for years to come.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader."

Assistant Coach
Kate Dargie

Kate (‘09) is the newest member of the Lady Mustangs softball team. Kate will be the new assistant coach joining head coach Scott Lovejoy as she goes from the diamond to the dugout. The right handed Auburn native Dargie played first base last year for Lovejoy and this year hopes to build upon last year’s successes. Coach Dargie spoke highly of last year’s team “breaking up SM’s [Southern Maine] perfect season was a great confidence booster and really carried over.”

Confidence returns again this year as new recruits and a new season approaches. “This year we’re going to have a lot more speed on the bases, smart at-bats and an exceptional pitching rotation,” Dargie continued “cutting down on the mental errors will be a large focus, but both Coach Lovejoy and myself know that as the girls play and practice more the better team they will become.”
