The roller coaster ride has only been going higher up the mountain for the Mustang basketball team. The squad has averaged 20+ for years and along the way managed to capture one NNESCC championship, seven  MSCC state championships, two Yankee Championship, three appearances at the USCAA National tournament, four appearances in the USCAA National Tournament and the most impressive stat of them all... one USCAA National Tournament Championship!! All this has been created with players whose pride and dedication are second to none.

What started as "The House that Dane Built" continued with "The House that Danny Owns", transferred to the one "Patrick purchased!" and is now being rented by the “2007-08 Cinderella team.” In between the 15 years, the glory teams of Spadea, Boudreau, Leclerc, Coleman and Cwiklinski ruled the roost in Maine. The blue collar teams of Dickson, Peavey and DeBruin won our respect but the Cinderella team of Labonte, Smithgall, Sceviour, Damm and Angell captured our hearts.  One thousand point scorers have turned out to be the norm, All-Americans and All-New England selections are par for the course and All-Star selections are many. Pride, character and class describe players who wear CM colors. To qualify, players must work hard on and off the court. Classroom dedication is as important as hardwood participation. Players are held to a higher standard! Throughout the many campaigns our men have risen to every occasion.

The future looks bright. Outstanding players visit Auburn each week seeking an opportunity to join one of the best. Standards are high, very few "fit in". Once a player signs on, the roller coaster only goes one way …
