Charles Bunyea, Head Coach
Coach Bunyea enters his fifth season as a coach for
the CM baseball team. With the 2007 season being his second year as
head coach, Bunyea was an assistant coach for the team for three
seasons prior to taking the helm for the Mustangs. Even before his
stint as coach, Bunyea was no stranger to the program. He graduated
from CM in 2004 and was an outstanding player for the baseball team
as he received the Jerry Coleman Award in 2004, a prestigious honor
for his on-and-off-the-field performance and leadership.
For the past ten years, Bunyea
has coached baseball in many different capacities including at the
high school, middle school and travel baseball level. In 2004 he was
the head coach for the Poland high school freshmen baseball team.
This past season, Bunyea led the Mustangs to one of its most
successful seasons in the school’s history. Through his work ethic,
dedication to recruiting, and coaching style, Bunyea led the team to
a 17-8 regular season record and a second-place finish in the Yankee
Conference.

Coach Brennan enters his
first season as assistant coach for the CM baseball team, however,
he is no stranger to CM’s baseball program. A former star baseball
player and graduate of CM, Brennan had two outstanding years for the
Mustangs, including a runner-up for the Yankee Conference player of
the year in 2006. The multi-talented athlete can play many different
positions on the diamond, and played a key role for the team as a
catcher with his strong throwing arm and spectacular hitting
ability.
Brennan, who was also a key player at Maranacook high school, hopes
to continue his baseball career, as he plans to play with a
four-year college and receive a bachelors degree. This past season,
Brennan made a big contribution to the Mustangs’ Yankee Conference
tournament run. |
