1999-2000 Season

The 1999 CM Baseball team completed another fine season. The coaching vacancy was filled by veteran Geoff Robbins. Coach Robbins stepped up and led the young mustangs to the NNESCC championship game against nemesis Vermont Technical College.

The year was also remembered for beating out rival from the south, SMTC in a double header at SM! In the first game, first year star Rob Hackett, pitched 11 innings to lead the Mustangs to the incredible victory while CM won the second game in 9 innings.

In the playoffs, CM had home field advantage against rival SM again- CM was down the whole game and trifled by I in the 7' inning, but two big homers helped to bring the Mustangs back and pull off the win to go to the NNESCC championship game against Vermont Technical College at Concord, NH. With the game tied going into the 7' inning, the Mustangs fought hard, but couldn't quite hold off a pesky VTC team in the end.

However, with a new coach, Dan Coleman and returning stars, Rob Hackett Derek Lamb, and Steve Mason back for the 2000 season, the Mustangs took to be the best and continue a tradition that kids are proud of and "ling to work for. Once again, the future looks bright as CM reloads for the 2000-2001 season. Quality student athletes are always invited to be a part of the system that promotes character and family in the unique experience that is CM Baseball
