The Center for Retention and Transfer

Jalbert 409

Students are encouraged to start their transfer plans early, as early as their first semester at Central Maine Community College (CM).

By following these three easy steps, students will have all the tools necessary to streamline the transfer process:

Step one:              Attend Making Your Credits Count –
A First Step Transfer Advising Workshop

Step two:              Do your research based on workshop information

Step three:            Attend a small group working session to go over your

research and get more of your questions answered

Visit The Center for Retention and Transfer (CRT) in Jalbert 409 for more information on the following services:

To save your seat in Making Your Credits Count - A First Step Transfer Advising Workshop, please contact:

Pat Grondin, Center Associate (207) 755-5380
or pgrondin@cmcc.edu or stop into the CRT in Jalbert 409

Keep in mind -

Because Central Maine Community College (CM) is accredited by the New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc. (NEASC), most academic credits will transfer to other colleges and universities.

Policies of colleges and universities differ, so while CM courses are generally transferable, not all courses transfer to all programs at all institutions.

Since the receiving college or university has the right to determine if credits will transfer, students should consult with representatives at the institution(s) to which they plan to transfer for specific guidelines.

For further information on transfer services, please contact:

Liz Oken, Director of Transfer Advising

(207) 755-5239 or eoken@cmcc.edu

Or stop into the CRT in Jalbert 409 to make an appointment

Potential transfer students are encouraged to plan ahead!

Start early to prepare for the transfer experience.
