Federal Work Study
Central Maine Community College administers part-time employment opportunities for students to work on campus while being matriculated at least half time (6 credits per semester) in a CMCC degree or certificate program.
Student employment is not a grant program; students are only paid for hours worked every two weeks.
Student Employment wages are subject to the same federal, state and local income taxes as any other earned income. Wages earned under this program must be included as taxable income on the student’s federal and state income tax returns. A W-2 form is mailed to each student’s permanent home address at the end of each tax year.
