High School to College Partnerships
Central Maine Community College encourages students in high school to pursue college credit while still enrolled in high school! The College has many advanced credit agreements with high schools and career technical education centers both in Maine and in several other New England states.
On Course for College Program
The On Course for College Program is a fall and spring semester academic enrichment program for qualified high school juniors in their spring term and seniors to enroll in college courses at CMCC. CMCC will waive the cost of tuition; the applicant is responsible for paying only fees and the cost of textbook(s) for the selected course(s). Students are allowed to take one or two courses (3 to 6 credits) per academic year; this program is not available during the summer session. The program is intended to provide students with the opportunity to supplement but not detract from their high school progress. Awarding high school credit for college work is at the discretion of the student’s high school.
To apply for the On Course for College program, students should complete the application.
