Credit for Professional Learning
Licenses, Professional Certifications and Corporate Training Programs
Central Maine Community College recognizes that certain Licenses, Certifications and Corporate Training Programs may be reviewed for prior learning experience credit. A student may qualify to receive proficiency credit for a specific CMCC course by presenting proof of a current, valid professional certification or examination designed to assess the student’s knowledge in a particular field. Credit award is subject to applicability of the certification/examination to the student’s program of study. Course materials, certificates and other relevant information are required in order to be considered. Certificate or licenses must be valid within 5 years of the date of acceptance into the college.
