Microsoft Security Fundamentals course Offered at Central Maine Community College

The Corporate and Community Services Division at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) will offer Microsoft Security Fundamentals on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., from August 28 to September 23.
This thirty-two hour Microsoft IT Academy training course prepares students for the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Exam 98-367. Participants build an understanding of the following topics: Security Layers, Authentication, Authorization and Accounting, Security Policies, Operating System Security, Network Security, and Security Software. The MTA exam validates fundamental knowledge required by many employers. This certification provides an appropriate entry point in technology careers and assumes some hands-on experience or training but does not assume on-the-job experience. There are no prerequisites for this course.
